More Data, Smarter Threat Scores, and New Search Modes

Lookify Staff·April 14, 2026

We have been working on the largest data expansion in Lookify's history, and it's now live. You get a redesigned Lookify Threat Score, far more detailed owner profiles, and additional contact points including emails, alternate phone numbers, and social media links (like LinkedIn, Facebook, and GitHub). There are four new distinct search types that let you control exactly what data you retrieve and how many credits you spend on your search. If you are already a subscriber, every one of these improvements is available to you today at no additional cost.

Deeper Owner Profile Data

Most reverse lookups stop at a name and a rough location. When we can tie a number to a specific person, Lookify owner profiles provide fresh data about the phone number owner, including education, employment history, job position and seniority, skills, certifications, and more.

Education records can include institutions attended, fields of study, and degrees earned (as well as GPA). Career history shows current and past employers, job titles, and the timeline of someone's professional background. Certifications and professional skills appear as their own separate data points (when they exist).

This depth and level of detail in person data is particularly useful for sales teams verifying a lead before making contact, compliance teams confirming the identity of a customer or counterparty, or anyone trying to understand whether a number belongs to the person they expect it to. Data coverage varies by number. To get the most information possible from a search, perform a Person Pro lookup.

A Completely Revamped Lookify Threat Score

The threat score has been rebuilt from the ground up. It now aggregates threat signals across multiple new data sources, and two of the most meaningful additions are burner and disposable phone number detection, and ownership history.

Lookify threat score example showing moderate risk

Burner / disposable number detection identifies phone numbers that appear on throwaway SMS websites, the kind of services people use to create fake accounts or bypass SMS verification. We monitor hundreds of these websites and maintain a database of hundreds of thousands of known temporary disposable numbers. When a number you look up has appeared on one of these platforms, that activity now factors directly into its threat score. You can read more about how burner detection works in our full post on detecting burner and disposable temporary phone numbers.

Ownership history is the second new input. When a phone number has changed hands frequently between subscribers or moved across carriers in unusual patterns, that data is now part of the risk calculation. Numbers with stable, long-term ownership profiles score differently than numbers that have cycled through several registrants in a short timeframe. Taken together, these additions make the threat score considerably more informative for fraud detection, account verification, and lead screening workflows.

More Contact Data: Emails, Addresses, and Alternate Numbers

One of the most requested expansions has been additional contact points beyond the primary phone number.

Email addresses now appear in results when we can match them to the phone number owner. Each email record will show whether it's a personal or professional (work) email - so you don't have to guess based on the domain name alone.

Alternate phone numbers work the same way. When the owner of a number has additional phone lines associated with their profile, we will show them in the Profile section of the report, and distinguish personal from work numbers. This is especially useful for business contacts where the number you looked up is a mobile number type, but you also need to know the direct work or business phone number.

Home or work mailing address data is also included when available. Addresses have always been part of Lookify results, but now we include structured address fields including street-level data when possible, making the address information directly usable for postal workflows without additional formatting.

Social Media Profiles

Person Pro searches also include social media links when available. With Person Pro searches, you can obtain the LinkedIn profile of a person from just a phone number. When we have a high-confidence match between the phone number owner and a LinkedIn profile, that link appears in the results.

Beyond LinkedIn, we also provide GitHub, Facebook, and other social platform links when the data exists on Person Pro searches. Note: Social profile availability is not guaranteed for every individual, and some numbers will not come with any social links at all.

New Search Types: Pay Only for What You Need

This is one of the most practically impactful changes in v4. Previously there was only one type of phone number search possible, which returned all available data. If you only wanted to check a Lookify Threat Score, you were spending credits on a result that included a lot of information you did not ask for.

We're introducing four search types:

  • Carrier: Returns carrier name, line type (mobile, landline, VoIP), ported status, and details about the originating location. Use this when you need to validate a number or route it based on line type.
  • Threat: Returns the fully revamped Lookify Threat Score, including burner detection. Use this when you are screening for fraud or spam risk without needing the additional person data.
  • Person Lite: Returns core identity data including full name, current mailing address, associated people and addresses, and caller type. Use this when you need to confirm who a number belongs to without requiring full profile detail.
  • Person Pro: Returns everything in Person Lite plus alternate emails and phone numbers, social media profile links, education history, career and employment data, and certifications where available. This is the most comprehensive search we offer.

The specialized search types work to your advantage. A fraud team running millions of Threat Score checks monthly no longer has to spend extra credits on data they don't need. A sales team that needs complete contact enrichment gets the full picture in a single Person Pro search. Each search type is built around a specific data need so you're never paying for information you didn't ask for.

Pricing Stays the Same

All of this new data is available on the same plans at the same prices. If you are currently on a Starter or Professional subscription, you do not need to upgrade; your plan already includes access to the new data fields and search types. Credits work the same way they always have, and the credit costs for each search type have not changed.

For prospective customers, the pricing page reflects the current plans. New subscribers get access to all these data features and functionality from day one.
