Do Not Call (DNC) Status
Lookify provides Do Not Call (DNC) status for searched phone numbers as part of our Starter or Professional plans. This feature helps you understand whether a number is registered on the federal Do Not Call list before you make outbound calls.
What is DNC Status?
The Do Not Call (DNC) status indicates whether a phone number is registered on the federal National Do Not Call Registry in the United States. Numbers on this list have been registered by consumers who do not wish to receive telemarketing calls.
For Users Making Outbound Calls
If you are making outbound calls and a phone number appears on the Do Not Call list, you generally need a legitimate reason to contact that person. Telemarketing and sales calls to numbers on the DNC registry are restricted under the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR).
For detailed guidance on when you may or may not call numbers on the Do Not Call list, including exemptions for existing business relationships, consent, and other scenarios, please refer to the FTC's official resource:

The DNC status in Lookify is provided as an optional, best-effort capability. It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that any phone number you contact is not on the Do Not Call list before placing outbound calls. Lookify does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time status of DNC data. The data may be incomplete or out of date. The DNC status we display reflects the federal US DNC status only.
For the full legal terms governing DNC status and your obligations, please see our Terms and Conditions.
